Dairy Free Eggnog (with a vegan option!)

It truly is the most wonderful time of year... thanks to eggnog! Here at the Nourished By Heirloom headquarters, we seriously LOOOOOVE the nog. Every year around the Christmas holiday we make it from scratch because it's just so easy, and we always make it dairy free. The combination of coconut milk with another creamy plant based milk like cashew or oat gives it the perfect texture while not making it taste coconut-y. We felt like making our dairy free recipe even better this year, so we decided to add the Golden Hour superfood tonic to it and OH MY SWEET GOODNESS was it the best decision ever. Why not add a bit of anti-inflammatory properties and support cognitive function...

Anti-Inflammatory Candied Spiced Nuts

Candied nuts are a fave for us. We like having them in the pantry all throughout the year, but they make for a fantastic snack during cocktail hour at holiday events or something to serve on charcuterie boards, or as a garnish on salads! This recipe features our Taco culinary seasoning, showcasing fun and tasty ways you can use this seasoning in more than just tacos! They are such a tasty and healthy treat, making this recipe an absolute must try! Ingredients: 1/4 cup maple...

They are also a source of iron and B vitamins! This easy and delicious recipe features our Curry seasoning, and nourishing broth from our friends at High Vibe Health. High Vibe Health is a small business in Calgary that is absolutely killin it in the nourishment sector. They create the ONLY certified organic bone broths in Alberta. These...

Golden Hour Latte aka A Hug In A Cup

We absolutely love this Golden Hour latte, and we often refer to it as a "hug in a cup".  This tonic is inspired by the traditional beverage originating in India called golden milk or haldi doodh. Traditional golden milk is a combination of turmeric, ginger and cinnamon and has its roots in Ayurvedic medicine. This warm beverage is known for being high in antioxidants and its ability to reduce inflammation. We wanted to honour the traditional ingredients used in this nourishing drink, while adding our own "Heirloom" flare on it; and that's how our Golden Hour superfood tonic was created! We added a few extra ingredients to elevate this turmeric and ginger mixture by adding lucuma (a fruit native to...
